The shell layer protects the core from oxidation and corrosion, making such structures not only useful for investigating proximity effects but also for structure stabilizing. Furthermore, the shell layer serves as a platform for surface alteration and operationalization, including exchange coupling between the core and the shell, which can result in precisely tailored materials for a variety of magnetic applications. This chapter elucidates the classification, synthesis, properties, structural mechanism, and applications of magnetic core–shell nanostructures.http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cbMagnetic Properties and Synthesis of FerritesMagnetic Properties of AlloysCharacterization and Applications of Magnetic NanoparticlesCore–Shell Magnetic NanostructuresBook Chapterhttps://doi.org/10.1201/9781003335580-3
