Virtualization of the Data Room Methodology for Academic Monitoring: A Pilot Study at the University of Atacama. 2025 IEEE CHILEAN Conference on Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies (CHILECON), , 1-5. https://doi.org/10.1109/chilecon66915.2025.11476461https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12740/25001Higher education institutions meet the needs of a large number of students, who experience various obstacles that negatively impact their academic trajectory. By tracking pupils' progress, academic monitoring (AM) enables improvements, and adjustments to be made. The concept of “data room” refers to a new way of performing AM, which seeks to determine the degree and the way in which the knowledge imparted by the teacher to the student has been acquired, focused on improving the work done. This method establishes a relationship between content and grades obtained. Data Rooms is a system applied today, mostly in pre-school, elementary and middle school level institutions, but its incorporation into higher education is still incipient. This paper describes the concept's suitability and its subsequent virtualization. The proposal was validated at Universidad de Atacama, and the results obtained allow for the possibility of monitoring the Teaching-Learning process by determining the degree of achievement of the learning outcomes of the units involved (grade and form) for each evaluation.http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cbOnline Learning and AnalyticsHigher Education Teaching and EvaluationEducational Innovations and ChallengesVirtualization of the Data Room Methodology for Academic Monitoring: A Pilot Study at the University of AtacamaConference Paperhttps://doi.org/10.1109/chilecon66915.2025.11476461
