Methods: The design was based on the Sorensen model, integrating its 3 areas (promotion, prevention and care) with 5 sub-dimensions of sexual and reproductive health proposed by the researcher. Content is validated through expert judgment, resulting in an instrument with 4 subscales. Piloting evaluates reliability and exploratory factor analysis (EPA). Results: Relevance and relevance categories presented greater consensus; clarity demanded greater modifications in items. A Content Validity Ratio of 0.85 is obtained in all items and a Content Validity Index of 0.84. AFE identifies 4 factors, with reliability coefficients over 0.93. Conclusions: The scale presents content validity and factorial structure concordant to the design of 4 subscales. Applications with a larger sample and construct validation through confirmatory factor analysis are required.Acceso Abiertoreproductive health and family planninghealth literacyhealth situation assessmenthealth communicationDESIGN AND VALIDATION OF CONTENT OF LITERACY SCALE IN SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTHhttp://dx.doi.org/10.31052/1853.1180.v26.n2.34244
