Abstract
The present study employed a straightforward hydrothermal technique to prepare zinc sulfide (ZnS) nanosheets. The morphology and elemental analysis were done using Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and X-ray photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). The prepared electrode material was examined by cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge–discharge (GCD), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis in a 3 M KOH electrolyte solution to evaluate the electrochemical characteristics. The ZnS nanosheets electrode displayed a significant specific capacitance of 536F g−1 at a current density of 1 A g−1, indicating its outstanding electrochemical activity and exceptional cyclic stability up to 74 % even upto 5000 cycles. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
