Abstract
The Information Architecture (IA) is a term of relevance today that makes sense in the development of applications and information systems. In fact, a crucial aspect in IA is that it should promote usability while being flexible enough to match the dynamic information needs of the business environments. Currently, there are various methodological proposals to the IA. However, most of them present difficulties to prioritize requirements on content usability, and they do not fully cover the development process, focusing only on some of their phases. Likewise, most of the proposals require a significant effort to adapt to complex environments. This paper addresses the problem of adapting the activities of the IA for the development of interactive applications improving the satisfaction of end-users and promoting an agile integration of the IA into a user-centered development framework. Specifically, in this work in progress we propose the initial guidelines of an agile methodology, called UXAgileIA, to develop the Information Architecture through a user-centered development process, providing different activities. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
