Abstract
This paper presents a novel micro-location platform based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, designed to support collaborative learning analytics in classroom environments. The system consists of two distributed applications-a mobile app for real-time detection of BLE beacons and a webbased management platform-that together enable the tracking and visualization of participant movement and interactions during educational activities. A proof-of-concept was implemented using a game-based teamwork scenario, allowing data collection on student engagement, time-on-task, and interaction frequency. These behavioral metrics provide insights into group dynamics, supporting the development of transversal skills such as communication and collaboration. The platform aims to provide educators and researchers with an accessible and low-cost tool for analyzing and improving collaborative learning experiences in engineering education.
