This study aimed to identify and analyze the factors that influence the therapeutic
relationship between nursing professionals and oncology patients through a comprehensive
literature review. Key findings have revealed that effective communication, emotional
support, workload, and professional training have a significant impact on the standard of
care and patient outcomes. The results demonstrate the importance of nurturing empathy
and trust in nurse-patient interactions, as well as implementing comprehensive approaches
that address both emotional and physical needs. Furthermore, the research emphasizes the
importance of institutional support and continuous education programs to enhance nursing
competencies and mitigate organizational barriers. These measures are critical to improving
the patient experience and advancing holistic oncology care.
